This site exists simply to contribute towards common knowledge of each others traditions in the hope that by sharing teachings and information, it may help the flourishing of the "rime" (non-sectarian) spirit of Buddhism -exemplified by 18th century saint Jamyang Kyentse Wangpo- as dharma develops in the West.
While based in Australia we welcome contributions near and far who share this aspiration. We are under no illusions as to the importance of this small effort but it is our wish that people who feel inspired may share this site with others.
Please feel free to join us regardless of your affiliation or non-affiliation! This includes if you are a committed student from another faith or tradition and wish to explore Buddhist teachings. We hope to have contributions on the site from qualified Teachers as well as more local and everyday practitioners who feel inspired to write from their own experience.
It's our hope that some of these teachers and commentators will write something specifically for DWB from time to time as well as give permission to display excerpts of their work.
We wish to emphasise that Dharma Without Borders is not presenting an alternative to practice within genuine, traditional Buddhist lineages and Teachers, although anyone not familiar or affiliated with a particular tradition is welcome to participate.
DWB is a place to explore the essential qualities and varied flavours the Dharma has to offer, in the rime’ spirit of the appreciation of clarity, wisdom and diversity.
If you'd like something to be considered to post and have not been invited to do so, simply email it to: dharmawithoutborders@gmail.com
We hope this may be of some benefit to beings and assist in the harmonious integration of genuine dharma traditions in the west.
Love
Dharma Without Borders
Like the idea, good luck with it all!
